Dani Parejo calms title talk

Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo says that Los Che 'are not thinking' about winning La Liga this season.

Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo has played down suggestions that Los Che could make a serious push for the La Liga title this season.

Saturday's 3-1 win over current Spanish champions Atletico Madrid continued Valencia's unbeaten start to the season and moved them onto 17 points from just seven matches.

It has been whispered in some quarters that Los Che could make a title challenge this term, but Parejo has called for calm.

"We're not thinking about winning the league. We're telling ourselves to take things little by little at the moment," he told VCF Play.

"I think we just have to let the season take its course, and if we're still up there with around seven, eight games to go, then we'll start to really think about it."

Valencia are just two points behind league leaders Barcelona.
