Javi Fuego: 'We must keep working hard'

Valencia midfielder Javi Fuego says that Los Che must not let the international break impact on their league form.

Valencia midfielder Javi Fuego has insisted that his side must remain focused if they are to achieve their goals this season.

An impressive campaign to date has left Los Che third in the La Liga table, just four points off second-placed Real Madrid.

However, Fuego has claimed that the Spanish side must keep working hard in the final months of the season.

"We must train well this week. We hope that the internationals do well and then we do a good job against Villarreal. The league is proving to be very competitive and even. We are going to focus on ourselves, as we have done so far. We will continue with the same philosophy that has paid off up until now," Fuego told the club's official website.

"You only have to see us train every day to see that the team are focused on improving on a daily basis. As the matchdays go by, we can see that the gaps between the teams below are tightening up. All games must be given importance and we not look beyond anyone."

Valencia have won 18 of their 28 league games this season.
