Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves has revealed that his side are targeting a return to the Champions League but only if they can keep up their successful start to the campaign.
The Brazilian's side are in top form at the moment and will look to take advantage of a struggling Athletic Bilbao, who they face this weekend.
"Last season we also had a competitive squad but this season things are really working out for us," Alves told Valencia's official website.
"Our aim is to qualify for the Champions League but we must not think beyond our next match."
Valencia have won their last two matches and all five of their home games this season, leaving them a point behind leaders Real Madrid in second place.
