Report: Aymen Abdennour suffers hamstring problem

A report claims that Valencia will be without central defender Aymen Abdennour for this weekend's La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao.

Valencia are reportedly facing the possibility of being without key centre-back Aymen Abdennour for Sunday's La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao.

The Moroccan international is believed to have suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday's Champions League clash against Lyon, a game that Valencia won 1-0 courtesy of a first-half strike from Sofiane Feghouli.

According to Super Deporte, the 26-year-old will undergo tests later this week to determine the extent of the damage, but is unlikely to make the fixture against Bilbao.

Abdennour signed a five-year deal with Valencia in the summer after turning down a host of other interest to make the move to Spain from Monaco.
