Valencia and St Gallen met at the Mestalla in their Europa League Group A clash.
Both teams were level on points following their first two games of the campaign but the Swiss side were one place above the hosts due to their superior goal difference.
This was to change as the Spanish side hammered Jeff Saibene's side in a 5-1 victory, which included four goals in 20 minutes in the first half.
