Alvaro Negredo has vowed to show his best form for Valencia this season after playing a key part in their qualification for the group stages of the Champions League.
The Spanish international scored in Tuesday's playoff second leg at Monaco – a game that Valencia lost 2-1, but they qualified 4-3 on aggregate.
Negredo, 30, only managed six goals in 33 games on loan at the Mestalla last season, but after completing a permanent move from Manchester City this summer, he is confident that he will rediscover his best form.
"It has been a spectacular job by the whole team. It is a big source of excitement for the players and the fans. Now we have to enjoy ourselves, work hard and grow," Negredo told reporters.
"I always said that I would give everything for this shirt. Nuno told me he was still waiting to see the best of me. Now we must think about Deportivo. The fans are happy, and I'm happy for them."
Negredo hit 85 goals in 182 games for Sevilla between 2009 and 2013, before joining Man City in the summer of 2013.
