Luis Suarez admits he needs to improve his behaviour

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has admitted that he needs to improve his behaviour during games next season.

The Reds forward is currently four games into a 10-match suspension after biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during their 2-2 draw at Anfield back in April.

Suarez was banned for eight games for a similar offence when playing for Ajax in 2011, and the Uruguayan international has said that he needs to channel his frustrations in a more productive manner in the future.

"Why do I have these moments of madness? They're moments of frustration and it's about time I learned to control them," Suarez told reporters.

"I [have] struggled since I was a kid. I remember going to train on my own or with my brother, in the rain. I haven't forgotten that and I hold those memories dear. Nacional almost let me go when I was 13 years old because I wasn't playing and I was mixed up with the wrong crowd.

"[I hope] that people must not remember me for that, do not attack me as a person for that. I prefer criticism for my football, technique, that's what upsets me in the Premier League today."

The Uruguayan recently hinted at a summer switch to Real Madrid after claiming that he feels victimised by the British media.

Suarez, who scored 30 goals for the Reds last season, has also been linked with a move to Italian champions Juventus.
