Video: Luis Suarez loses temper as Uruguay fail to reach Copa America quarter-finals

Suarez loses temper in Uruguay defeat

Luis Suarez's infamous temper got the better of him on Thursday night when Uruguay crashed out of the Copa America following a 1-0 defeat to Venezuela.

The Barcelona forward, who did not feature at all during the match because of a hamstring injury, threw a tantrum in the dugout after confronting head coach Oscar Tabarez.

After warming up on the side of the pitch, TV cameras picked up footage of Suarez punching the side of the dugout and throwing his bib to the floor.

The 29-year-old's temper has caused trouble in the past as he has served two lengthy bans for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic while the striker was at Liverpool, and for sinking his teeth into the arm of Italy's Georgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup.

The 15-time winners have dropped out of the tournament at the group stage with a game against Jamaica left to play as they have not picked up a single point.
