Di Natale confirms retirement plans

Udinese frontman Antonio Di Natale has revealed that he will retire at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old joined the Zebras in 2004 from Empoli and since then has gone on to score almost 200 goals for the club.

However, speaking after today's 3-1 defeat to Hellas Verona, the striker admitted that the current campaign would be his last as a professional footballer.

"I have decided, in June, I'll stop and leave football. I have already spoken with my attorney," he said.

Di Natale made 42 appearances for Italy, whom he represented at one World Cup and two European Championships.
