Tranmere sign Brazilian striker Vinicius Dantas

League One club Tranmere Rovers have signed Brazilian striker Vinicius Dantas on a one-year contract.

The 21-year-old will join Rovers, subject to a work permit, following a successful trial in which the striker scored two goals against Shrewsbury in a closed-doors match.

Born in Sao Paulo, Dantas comes to the Wirral from US College team Azusa Pacific.

Tranmere boss Les Parry said: “He's strong and sharp, has an eye for goal and will be a good addition to our squad.”
