North American Soccer League outfit New York Cosmos will reportedly move for former Spain striker Raul at the end of the season.
The veteran forward currently represents Al Sadd in the Middle East, but it is widely understood that he will seek pastures new when his contract expires this summer.
According to AS, the Cosmos hold a firm interest in the 36-year-old and are confident of convincing the former Real Madrid legend to move to New York.
Marcos Senna, who currently represents the American outfit, has added fuel to the fire by claiming that he would "love" to play alongside Raul once more, with the midfielder also representing Spain between 2006 and 2010.
"If you told me I could sign a forward now, I would love to bring in Raul, because of what he represents as a person – with his professionalism, commitment and ability. He's exactly the type of person we want at the club," Senna told reporters.
Raul has also previously played for Schalke 04.
