Newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley have signed Michael Kightly from Stoke City on a permanent deal following his loan spell at the club last season.
Kightly played 39 times for Burnley and has now signed a three-year deal with them, which will see him stay until the summer of 2017.
"As soon as we secured promotion to the Premier League last season, I wanted to make sure that I signed," Kightly told the club's official website.
"Coming in on loan is usually difficult but it only took a few weeks here to get settled and it is great to be a permanent Burnley player now as opposed to a loanee. It took a while to get it over the line but now it is all secured I'm really pleased."
Kightly has also played for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
