Tim Cahill announces Shanghai Shenhua move

Australian midfielder Tim Cahill has confirmed that he has signed for Shanghai Shenhua.

The 35-year old had left the New York Red Bulls earlier today by mutual consent.

It was believed that Cahill had received offers from clubs across Europe and the United Arab Emirates, but he will instead join the Chinese Super League outfit.

Cahill was part of the Australia squad that won the Asian Cup for the first time in the country's history last month.
