Evening all. As we enter the final throes of the summer window, a quick reminder of the major goings-on throughout the day. Previously on deadline day...

Around midday Liverpool kicked things off by announcing the capture of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.

Serge Aurier became Tottenham Hotspur's fourth signing of the summer, joining from Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year deal for £23m.

Watford brought in a new goalkeeper in the shape of Orestis Karenzis on a season-long loan from Udinese, having also been in the sights of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

Swansea City sealed the season-long loan capture of Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich.

Burnley have welcomed Nahki Wells from Huddersfield Town on a three-year deal, although he's of no immediate use to the Clarets as he recovers from ankle surgery.

Most recently, AS Monaco's in-demand youngster Kylian Mbappe has headed to Paris Saint-Germain on loan to join world-record signing Neymar.

Also in the last few minutes, Arsenal have confirmed that they have sent striker Lucas Perez out on loan to Deportivo La Coruna, where he left for the Emirates a year ago. More on that move here.

DONE DEAL! In the Championship, Birmingham City have announced the club-record signing - fee undisclosed - of Jota from Brentford.

Meanwhile, there are several players' futures yet to be resolved. Arsenal are still waiting to learn if their reported - but withdrawn(?) - £92m bid will be enough to prise Thomas Lemar from the so-far unwilling clutches of AS Monaco.

Lemar himself is apparently not keen on the idea of moving to the Emirates, though, as the Gunners can't offer him Champions League football. He would be open to a move to Liverpool, however.

A chain reaction in the unlikely event that Arsenal do manage to clinch Lemar's signature is that they might grant Alexis Sanchez his freedom and allow him a move to Manchester City following their bid of £55m plus add-ons. Again, this seems very much a "what if" at this point.

Elsewhere, Man City's Wilfried Bony is understood to be undergoing a medical ahead of a move back to Swansea City, where he left for the Etihad back in 2015.

The confirmation of a Bony move to the Liberty Stadium would herald the Swans' sale of Fernando Llorente to Spurs to join confirmed deadline-day signing Serge Aurier.

DONE DEAL! Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the arrival of Ezequiel Schelotto from Sporting Lisbon. The Argentine has signed a three-year deal with the Seagulls. More on that deal here.

DONE DEAL! Watford have confirmed the arrival of Mali international defender Molla Wague on a season-long loan from Udinese. Wague had a very short-lived loan stay with Leicester City earlier in 2017.

DONE DEAL! Speaking of Leicester, the Foxes have sent midfielder Nampalys Mendy off on loan to France, joining Nice for the 2017-18 campaign. Mendy heads to the club he left last summer on his way to the King Power.

DONE DEAL! Another loan move as Liverpool Under-23s' Jordan Williams is farmed out to Rochdale for the season.

Back to king domino Thomas Lemar - Sky Sports News is reporting that the chances of Arsenal extracting the Frenchman from Monaco with their £92m bid have plummeted to zero. Secondary domino Alexis Sanchez therefore seems sure to be staying put at the Emirates.

SSN also reporting that another wantaway hostage, Virgil van Dijk is remaining at his own current employers, Southampton, who have said as much all along. Liverpool had been linked with a recent, legitimate move for the defender.

More on the Sanchez situation here.

DONE DEAL! A player who's had no such problems in moving is Bojan Krkic. The Stoke City player has agreed a season-long loan move to La Liga outfit Alaves.

DONE DEAL! Following on the heels of Birmingham City's club-record signing of Jota is their announcement that young defender Dan Scarr is heading to Wycombe Wanderers on loan until the new year.

DONE DEAL! Cardiff City have announced the departure of Craig Noone to Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee after five years with the Bluebirds.

DONE DEAL! A little further along the south coast of Wales, Swansea City have said farewell to goalkeeper Mark Birighitti. The Austrian moves to Dutch side NAC Breda on a free after failing to break into the Swans' first team.

DONE DEAL! Everton have just announced another new arrival - Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split on a five-year deal.

The Croatian represents the Toffees' ninth signing of a busy transfer window on Merseyside, having now spent in the region of £150m.

DONE DEAL! Sheffield United have signed Motherwell defender Ben Heneghan on a three-year deal.

DONE DEAL! Leaving Bramall Lane, meanwhile, is John Brayford. The defender makes a permanent switch to Burton Albion on a two-year deal. For more on his return to the club following last year's loan spell, click here.

Of potential interest to Leicester fans is the fact that Foxes target Adrien Silva has been allowed to leave the Portugal camp. Craig Shakespeare is said to have his eye on the 28-year-old to fill the void of Danny Drinkwater should he move away from the King Power before the window closes.

In other Leicester news, the club are said to be in talks with Bayer Leverkusen defender Aleksandar Dragovic.

Sky Sports News reporting that Adrien Silva is indeed in talks with Leicester, although the Foxes will only go through with that deal if they lose Drinkwater to Chelsea. More here.

DONE DEAL! A confirmed move is Nottingham Forest's loan acquisition of Bournemouth keeper Adam Federici until January.

DONE DEAL! Liverpool have sent another youngster away for the season, Ryan Kent joining German side FC Freiburg for the rest of the campaign.

Manchester City have given up on signing defender Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion, according to SSN.

A linked broken-down move away from the Etihad concerns Eliaquim Mangala. Crystal Palace were thought to be interested in the France international but have now dropped their pursuit, leaving City unwilling to go for Evans.

Llorente is yet to be officially confirmed as a Spurs player, but brother and agent Chus Llorente has posted something of a spoiler on Facebook:

Wolverhampton Wanderers have apparently been frustrated in their attempts to bring in Jurgen Locadia from PSV Eindhoven. A £10m was lined up for the striker only for his club to reportedly pull the plug.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Sunderland apparently have their eye on three more signings before the window shuts in a little under two hours' time. Premier League players Jonny Williams, Marc Wilson (on loan) and Callum McManaman are the alleged targets.

DONE DEAL! Another Birmingham City outgoing - Cheikh Keita is heading to Serie A side Bologna on a season-long loan.

DONE DEAL! City rivals Aston Villa, meanwhile, have sent midfielder Gary Gardner to Barnsley on loan.

Meanwhile, in France, Thomas Lemar has just celebrated his continued presence at AS Monaco with a goal against the Netherlands in their World Cup qualifier.

DONE DEAL! Blackburn Rovers have brought in West Bromwich Albion youngster Rekeem Harper on loan. Hours earlier, the 17-year-old had signed his first professional contract with the Baggies.

Not content with nine new faces at Everton, Ronald Koeman apparently has his eye on Fulham's young midfielder Dennis Adeniran.

Under 90 minutes now for that and any other potential deals to go through before the window violently slams shut.

DONE DEAL! Some non-Sanchez-related movement at the Emirates as Joel Campbell rejoins La Liga side Real Betis for the rest of the season. More on that here.

RELEASE! In the Championship, Liam Grimshaw's Preston North End contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

DONE DEAL! Manchester City youngster Kean Bryan has been sent on a half-season loan to Oldham Athletic. He spent last season on loan in League One with Bury.

Sky Sports News reports that Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater is loitering at Cobham, awaiting the Foxes' permission to have a medical with Chelsea.

Again, Leicester's interest in Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon is wrapped up in that potential move.

DONE DEAL! A departure from Goodison Park as youngster Callum Connolly joins Ipswich Town on a season-long loan.

Less than an hour to go now. Bony-Llorente and Silva-Drinkwater are a couple of storylines yet to be officially resolved. Lemar, Sanchez and Van Dijk, meanwhile, appear to be staying put.

Lemar - who went on to score another goal against the Netherlands in France's 4-0 win this evening - spoke to reporters after the game regarding his future. "We'll see what happens," he said, according to Sky Sports. "For the moment I am a Monaco player and everything is going very well."

DONE DEAL! North of the border, Celtic have signed Odsonne Edouard from Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

SSN reporting that Ross Barkley's proposed move to Chelsea from Everton is dead after the player had "second thoughts", supposedly having embarked on a medical after a £30m deal had been agreed between the sides. More on that as it develops here.

Unless there's a further twist to that tale within the next 40 minutes, Barkley returns to Goodison Park where he is out of favour having rejected a new contract with the club earlier in the summer.

Wolves have apparently made a last-minute move for Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw, after other options fell through earlier on deadline day.

Nahki Wells has just posted the below following his move from Huddersfield to Burnley earlier today:

On the managerial front, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez apparently remains incredibly frustrated with his club's lack of movement on deadline day - as well as in the transfer window in general - and is allegedly on the verge of quitting. Full story here.

DONE DEAL! A second deadline-day incoming for Blackburn Rovers, this time Liverpool youngster Sam Hart on a two-year deal.

Back to Barkley - it's now being reported that he could see through a move to Chelsea in January. It's still unclear what exactly happened today though.

DONE DEAL! A Molineux departure as Wolves goalkeeper Jack Ruddy heads out to Oldham Athletic on loan until January.

Chelsea now "very, very close to tying up a deal" for Leicester's Danny Drinkwater after the champions and their predecessors came to a compromise over their valuations, according to SSN.

LAST ORDERS! Just 10 minutes to go before the window officially closes.

DONE DEAL! Third deadline-day incoming for Birmingham City, as Brentford's Maxime Colin moves to St Andrew's on a four-year deal.

DONE DEAL! Goalkeeper Tim Krul joins Brighton & Hove Albion, signing a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.

DONE DEAL! Cardiff City have taken Blackburn Rovers winger Liam Feeney on loan.

Ross Barkley's cold feet still something of a mystery, but Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has given his account of matters. See what he had to say here.

STOP TRANSFERRING! No doubt more deals will come to light shortly, but the 11pm deadline has now come and gone.

We - and Adrien Silva - are yet to hear the outcome of Danny Drinkwater's visit to Cobham this evening.

DONE DEAL! Leicester City have secured the signing of Aleksandar Dragovic on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

DONE DEAL! Newcastle United loan Achraf Lazaar to Serie A club Benevento for the 2017-18 campaign. Story here.

DONE DEAL! Another one for Cardiff City. The Bluebirds have taken Derby County midfielder Craig Bryson on loan.

SSN reporting that Leicester City have requested an extension to 1am regarding the Adrien Silva deal (coupled with the Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea switch).

As long as deal sheets were submitted prior to the deadline, transfers can still go through.

DONE (FINALLY) DEAL! Fernando Llorente to Tottenham Hotspur from Swansea City is now complete.

DONE (FINALLY) DEAL! ... thanks to Wilfried Bony's return, to Swansea from Man City.

DONE DEAL! Chelsea announce the signing of Davide Zappacosta from Torino on a four-year deal.

DONE DEAL! Late announcement from Sunderland that they've completed the permanent signing of Marc Wilson from Bournemouth.

DONE DEAL! Sheffield United have sealed the permanent signing of Birmingham City's Clayton Donaldson until the end of the season with an option to extend by another year.

DONE DEAL! Maikel Kieftenbeld is leaving St Andrew's too - he's off to Derby County.

DONE DEAL! Another one for Sunderland as midfielder Jonny Williams joins the Black Cats on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.

DEAL DONE! Another arrival at Ewood Park as Blackburn bring in MK Dons defender Paul Downing on loan for the duration of 2017-18.

This rather flies in the face of earlier reports and the account of Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, but an unnamed source close to Ross Barkley has claimed that the player didn't start a medical with Chelsea today.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly on the cusp of bringing in Spurs striker Vincent Janssen, having been granted an extension of 1am to push the deal through. The Seagulls managed to complete 10 signings before the window officially shut.

DONE DEAL! Sunderland have secured the third of the trio they were said to be targeting earlier, as West Bromwich Albion's Connor McManaman has joined on a two-year deal.

DONE DEAL! Chelsea have let youngster Fikayo Tomori go out on a season-long loan to Hull City.

DONE DEAL! Villarreal's Alfred N'Diaye has been ensnared by Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

Wolves didn't ensnare Adam Forshaw, however, as Middlesbrough reportedly failed to come to an agreement with either the Midlands club or fellow suitors Sheffield Wednesday over a transfer fee.

Another sad tale is the failure of Burnley's late approach for Majeed Waris, as his current club Lorient are said to have disapproved of the finer details of the Clarets' proposal for the striker.

Birmingham City's loan move for Rubin Kazan's Alex Song also collapsed, as the two clubs failed to reach an agreement in time as the deadline loomed.

Late mover Llorente has bid farewell to the Swansea fans following the confirmation of his switch to Spurs:

DONE DEAL! Oliver McBurnie is leaving the Liberty Stadium too, albeit temporarily. He's going to spend the season on loan at Barnsley after playing a part in all three of the Swans' Premier League games so far.

DONE DEAL! More movement at St Andrew's as Everton youngster Liam Walsh joins Birmingham City on loan to become the Blues' 14th summer addition.

Harry's calling it a night now:

We are not calling it a night. We refuse to sleep until Danny Drinkwater does or doesn't move to Chelsea - and Adrien Silva to Leicester in retaliation - Crystal Palace admit the arrivals of Mamadou Sakho and Oumar Niasse, and Vincent Janssen's fate is known.

DONE DEAL! In the meantime, Rotherham United have taken Brighton's Richie Towell on loan after making just one appearance for the Seagulls last season.

DONE DEAL! Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have sent Keshi Anderson to Swindon Town on loan until January.

Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, who has been keeping out of trouble transfer talk-wise today, may apparently be the subject of 'one last bid' from Barcelona on Friday.

*later on Friday, as Spain's transfer window remains open until Friday evening.

CLOCK WATCH! It's 1am.

Spurs' Vincent Janssen has opted to turn down a move to Brighton, according to Sky Sports News, so that's one mystery solved.

Oumar Niasse's move from Everton to Crystal Palace has broken down, according to a couple of reports.

Still outstanding beyond the extended deadline and everyone's patience - Mamadou Sakho (Palace), Danny Drinkwater (Chelsea), Adrien Silva (Leicester).

DONE DEAL!!! Danny Drinkwater has put us out of our misery and is joining Chelsea from Leicester City on a five-year deal for a club-record fee.

No official confirmation regarding Adrien Silva's move to Leicester City, although reports on Twitter indicate that the club are confident the deal will go through. No sign of Sakho though.

That's enough. Reports have it that Silva will be confirmed as a Leicester player tomorrow, while it's anyone's guess what has become of Sakho.

DONE DEAL!!! Stop guessing - he's turned up. Crystal Palace confirm Mamadou Sakho's return from Liverpool.

It would have been nice to have proper closure on the Silva situation but it will all become clear in the morning. Or quite possibly five minutes after we close the blog and dare to sleep. Thanks for sharing deadline evening with us.
