Torino suffer defeat on Joe Hart debut

England goalkeeper Joe Hart's Torino debut ends in disappointment as the Turin outfit suffer a 2-1 defeat to Atalanta BC.

Joe Hart's Torino debut ended in disappointment as the Turin out suffered a 2-1 defeat to Atalanta BC on Sunday afternoon.

Hart, who joined the Italian outfit on a season-long loan from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, was named in the starting XI for the Serie A clash in Bergamo.

However, the England goalkeeper made a mess of a corner in the 56th minute as Andrea Masiello tapped home to cancel out a Iago Falque opener, before Franck Kessie won it for Atalanta from the penalty spot late on.

Hart, 29, had been linked with moves to Liverpool and Everton in the latter stages of the transfer window, but completed a surprise move to Torino after losing his number one spot at Man City.
