League Two round-up

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's League Two action, where Paulo Di Canio's Swindon secured promotion to League One.

Swindon Town secured promotion to League One despite suffering a 3-1 defeat to Gillingham Town at the Priestfield Stadium this afternoon.

Paulo Di Canio's side have lost their last two games but were still promoted today after both Crawley Town and Torquay United failed to win.

Crawley were held 1-1 at home by Dagenham and Redbridge while Torquay's automatic promotion hopes were dented as they lost 2-0 to AFC Wimbledon.

Shrewsbury Town were denied their own promotion party by Accrington Stanley as veteran Bryan Hughes snatched Stanley a late equaliser against Graham Turner's side.

Both the teams who currently occupy the relegation places were beaten as Macclesfield Town suffered a 1-0 loss to Bradford City while Hereford United could only draw at home to Northampton Town.

League Two results: Accrington Stanley 1-1 Shrewsbury Town; Wimbledon 2-0 Torquay United; Bradford City 2-0 Macclesfield Town; Burton Albion 0-4 Aldershot; Crewe Alexandra 1-0 Cheltenham Town; Dagenham and Redbridge 1-1 Crawley Town; Gillingham Town 3-1 Swindon Town; Hereford Town 0-0 Northampton Town; PLymouth Argyle 1-1 Oxford United; Port Vale 1-0 Bristol Rovers; Rotherham United 3-2 Morecambe.
