England unchanged for Sweden clash

England boss Gareth Southgate has named an unchanged team for Saturday's World Cup quarter-final with Sweden in Samara.

Dele Alli's position in the XI was believed to be under threat, but Southgate has kept with the same XI that started Tuesday's last-16 win over Colombia.

As a result, Raheem Sterling will again support Harry Kane in the final third of the field, with Jesse Lingard also featuring in an attacking midfield position.

As for Sweden, Celtic full-back Mikael Lustig is suspended, but experienced midfielder Sebastian Larsson is back after being banned for his country's last-16 victory over Switzerland.

Ola Toivonen and Marcus Berg will again start as the front two for the Swedes.

Sweden: Olsen; Krafth, Granqvist, Lindelof, Augustinsson; Forsberg, Ekdal, Larsson, Claesson; Toivonen, Berg Subs: Olsson, Thelin, Guidetti, Johnsson, Helander, Hilijemark, Jansson, Rohden, Durmaz, Nordfeldt, Svensson

England: Pickford; Maguire, Stones, Walker; Trippier, Henderson, Lingard, Alli, Young; Kane, Sterling Subs: Rose, Dier, Vardy, Butland, Welbeck, Cahill, Jones, Delph, Rashford, Loftus-Cheek, Alexander-Arnold, Pope
