Swansea City 'fail with two bids to replace Danny Graham'

Swansea 'fail to replace Graham'

Swansea City reportedly failed to land a replacement striker for the outgoing Danny Graham on deadline day.

The 27-year-old signed for Sunderland in a transfer believed to be worth £5m yesterday afternoon.

It is understood that the Swans made an approach to Queens Park Rangers in a bid to sign Jamie Mackie on a loan agreement but the move failed to materialise, according to BBC Sport.

Reports have also claimed that Swansea boss Michael Laudrup was interested in a late swoop for Sevilla forward Manu, who has netted 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Spanish outfit.
