Swansea City confirm interest in Liverpool's Jonjo Shelvey

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed that the club are in talks with Liverpool over signing midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.

The 21-year-old appeared to have become an integral part of Brendan Rodgers's Liverpool side last season, but began to drop out of the first team as the campaign progressed.

"There is an interest there and we are talking to Liverpool," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.

A number of other clubs, including Crystal Palace, are also reported to be interested in the former Charlton Athletic midfielder.
