Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins: Wilfried Bony could leave for "right offer"

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins concedes that the "right offer" could persuade them into selling striker Wilfried Bony, who has been linked with Liverpool and Spurs.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted that sought-after striker Wilfried Bony could leave the Welsh club this summer if they receive the "right offer".

The Ivorian has been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur after scoring 25 goals in all competitions during his debut season with the Swans.

Manager Garry Monk has repeatedly insisted that Bony is not for sale, but the club's stance seems to be softening as the interest in the 25-year-old increases, with Jenkins now conceding that they would consider parting with him if a top club make a sizable approach.

"Wilfried Bony is a fantastic professional," Jenkins told talkSPORT. "If a top Champions League club comes in, and puts the right offer on the table, then of course we will speak to him.

"There are no issues with Bony. He's a great guy to have around the club. As much as we want players to stay with us for a number of years, we have to be open."

Bony joined Swansea from Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem for £12m last summer.
