Swansea agree Sigurdsson fee

Swansea City have had an offer of £6.8m accepted for Gylfi Sigurdsson by Hoffenheim.

The midfielder proved to be a success during his loan spell with the Swans from January and helped the Welsh outfit to 11th place in their debut Premier League season.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals in 19 appearances for the club which attracted a lot of attention to the player.

Having failed in a bid for the player earlier this month, Sky Sports News is reporting that a deal, worth in the region of £6.8m, has been agreed between the two clubs.

Sigurdsson cost Hoffenheim £6m when they bought him from Reading in 2010.
