European giants in for Swansea City striker Michu

Swansea City forward Michu has reportedly attracted interest from a number of big-spending clubs from across Europe.

Michu has adapted quickly to life in the Premier League following a £2.2m switch from La Liga and tops the scoring charts with 12 goals in 16 games.

Champions League contenders Shakhtar Donetsk are thought to be watching the Spaniard with a view to adding him to their squad before the knockout stages begin in February.

Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala are also thought to be keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque admitted earlier this week that the forward is in his thoughts for a call up to the national team.

Despite growing rumours of an exit Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has insisted that his star signing is not for sale.
