Ashley Williams eager to end poor run

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams urges his side to end their poor run of form with a win away at Aston Villa on Saturday.

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams has urged his side to put an end to their poor form when they face Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Swans are without a win in four games and have suffered back-to-back defeats against Everton and Chelsea in their last two.

Williams admits that it will be tough at Villa Park, but insists that his side are capable of taking all three points and "bouncing back".

"We have lost the last two, so it's going to be a massive game for both teams. It's very important - every game is in this league," Williams told the club's official website.

"Our aim is to put some distance between us and the teams below us. We don't want to get caught up in that because there aren't any teams that are really falling away - it's very close.

"Villa Park is a very tough place to play but we know we are capable of winning there and bouncing back from these back-to-back defeats."

The Welsh side currently sit in 11th place, just four points above the relegation zone.
