Garry Monk: 'Swansea City should have won'

Garry Monk says that his Swansea City side should have beaten Newcastle United after their draw on Saturday.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has said that his side should have beaten Newcastle United after their 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Papiss Cisse scored twice for the Magpies to cancel out goals from Wayne Routledge and Wilfried Bony.

After the match, Monk told reporters: "We should have won the game. The two times we didn't concentrate we were punished but one point is better than none.

"The possession was so easy that our concentration lapsed a little. We talked about managing the game properly but we didn't do it.

"We had chances to put the game to bed and didn't so we ran the risk of that happening."

The result leaves the Swans fourth in the Premier League table, while Newcastle sit in 18th.
