Garry Monk refuses to blame Lukasz Fabianski

Swansea City boss Garry Monk refuses to criticise Lukasz Fabianski after the goalkeeper makes an error during the team's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has refused to criticise goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski following the team's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City.

Fabianski was at fault for the away team's first goal at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday as he allowed Yaya Toure's shot to squirm past him.

However, Monk believes that the Pole should be forgiven due to the impressive season that he has had for the Swans.

"I'll allow Lukasz one mistake this season," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "He has been fantastic for us this season, as has the rest of the team. The quality was there again and if we had taken our chances, maybe we could have come away with something."

Swansea finish their Premier League campaign on May 24 when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
