Swansea City's Garry Monk hopeful of maintaining good display

Swansea City boss Garry Monk is hopeful that his side can keep the level of their display from their defeat to Liverpool against Leicester City.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has called on his players to maintain the level of their display in their narrow defeat to Liverpool.

The Swans extended their winless run in the Premier League to four matches following their 1-0 loss to the Reds at Anfield.

Monk has revealed that he was elated with his team's performance, and is hopeful that they can continue to play at a high level against Leicester City.

He told the club's official website: "I thought we were excellent last Sunday. Of course we were disappointed with the result but it was definitely a step in the right direction.

"It was a very tactical game and the performance was very encouraging – we now need to take that into this weekend.

"We've had a good week, worked very well and hopefully we can produce an even better performance because it's about maintaining that high standard now."
