Michu pays tribute to Swansea City

Spanish forward Michu takes to Twitter to thank Swansea City "for everything" after his departure from the Welsh side was confirmed.

Spanish attacker Michu has paid tribute to Swansea City after being granted a free transfer by the Premier League outfit.

It was recently confirmed that the 29-year-old had left the club by mutual consent after coming to a financial agreement with the Swans.

Michu has since taken to Twitter to thank Swansea "for everything" they did for the former Rayo Vallecano attacker, who moved to England's top flight in 2012.

The Spanish international scored 18 league goals during his debut season for the the Welsh team, but a long-term ankle problem led to a loan move to Napoli, before he returned to Wales last summer.
