Michael Laudrup thinks that top scorer Michu is good enough to play for Spain, after he was watched by Vicente Del Bosque.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has insisted that forward Michu is good enough to play for the Spanish national side.

Michu is third on the Premier League top scorers list, having netted 13 times since his £2.5m move in the summer.

The 26-year-old was unable to make a breakthrough against Everton at Goodison Park yesterday, although Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque was in the stands.

"If Del Bosque had called me before, I could've told him that this was probably not the best game to see Michu," said Laudrup. "But I know that in Spain they are watching the Premier League, so he knows what Michu has done.

"He almost scored with his only chance because he is class, but he knew this was a day when he had to work for the team and that's what he did."

Laudrup said after the game that he was delighted with a point at Everton.
