Swansea City boss Garry Monk has insisted that he is satisfied by how his side performed in their pre-season draw with Reading.
The Swans were held to a 1-1 draw at the Madejski Stadium on Friday as Kyle Bartley's goal cancelled out Nick Blackman's opener.
Swansea had the chance to win the match late on when Marvin Emnes and Jonjo Shelvey both hit the woodwork, but Monk has claimed that getting his players sharp for the new campaign is more important than results at this stage of the summer.
"It was a good workout for us," he told the club's official website. "Reading are a good team, and we've had some good pre-season games with them over the past few years.
"The minutes on the pitch is the most important thing for the players. Quite a few of the players got 90 minutes tonight, so it was a good workout.
"We've been working in a really good way during pre-season. Of course you'd like to win games, but it's more about the fitness side of it and getting match sharpness."
The Premier League side are back in pre-season action this afternoon when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
