Swansea City Michael Laudrup admits that Juan Mata is Chelsea's biggest threat ahead of tonight's League Cup semi-final first leg at Stamford Bridge.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has insisted that Juan Mata presents the biggest threat to his side's hopes of booking a first Wembley final in the club's history.

Chelsea stand in Swansea's way as the two teams prepare to lock horns in the League Cup semi-final, with the first leg at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Laudrup thinks that Mata holds the key to the way Chelsea play and believes that nullifying the Spanish playmaker will go a long way towards ensuring that the Swans are successful.

He told reporters: "He is a major threat for us. It's like the other day against Arsenal, they had Santi Cazorla.

"He is not the only one in the team, they have Eden Hazard, Oscar, and Victor Moses. They are all great players.

"But I think Mata is the key. He can go one on one and he has that wonderful passing ability like Cazorla. That is why we have to be very careful with him."

Swansea drew 1-1 with the Blues in their Premier League meeting earlier this season, thanks to an equaliser in the closing stages by Pablo Hernandez.
