Swansea City midfielder Sam Clucas has been ruled out for at least three months after undergoing knee surgery.
Clucas has just completed his first campaign with the Swans, scoring three goals from 29 appearances in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old also featured during the club's final fixture of the season against Stoke City, but the Welsh club have revealed that the former Hull City man has undergone a successful operation on a knee injury.
Swansea have stated that the versatile player is expected to miss around three months of action, effectively ruling him out of the start of the new season.
Last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Stoke confirmed that Swansea would play in the Championship during the next campaign.
