Sunderland striker Connor Wickham has reportedly rejected a new contract offer from the Black Cats.
The 21-year-old has 12 months remaining on his current contract, which he signed back in June 2011 following his move from Ipswich Town.
According to the Daily Star, Wickham has rejected an initial offer of an improved three-year contract, but the Black Cats are hopeful that the forward will reconsider.
Wickham found the back of the net five times in three games to help Sunderland retain their Premier League status last season.
Newly-promoted Leicester City and Southampton have both been linked with moves for Wickham this summer.
