Sunderland keen to land Papiss Cisse

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is keen to sign Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse.

The Senegal international is expected to cost the Black Cats around £10m, according to The Mirror.

However, O'Neill will find it difficult to complete the transfer due to the 26-year-old's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have both previously shown an interest in Cisse.
