Sunderland cool interest in Charis Mavrias?

Panathinaikos winger Charis Mavrias looks unlikely to complete a move to Sunderland, according to reports.

A fee of £2.5m had been agreed between the two clubs for the Greek midfielder, as Paolo Di Canio looks to rebuild his squad at the Stadium of Light.

However, according to the Shields Gazette, there has been little progress with the transfer and the Black Cats are prepared to end their interest.

The 19-year-old has already made 65 appearances for the Greek club.
