Ignacio Scocco completes move to Newell's Old Boys

Newell's Old Boys have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to bring Ignacio Scocco to the club from Sunderland.

Scocco only joined the Black Cats from Internacional in January, but he struggled to make an impact in the closing stages of the season as Sunderland secured their Premier League status with a late run of form.

Newell's announced the move on their Twitter account with a message which read: "First of all, a fan of Newell's...welcome @nachoscocco32!"

The 29-year-old was unable to score in any of his eight appearances for the club, and he has taken the opportunity to begin a third spell with Newell's.
