Report: Sunderland consider Lasse Schone move

Sunderland are considering a move for Ajax midfielder Lasse Schone, according to a report.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season with the Eredivisie champions, and has allegedly signalled his intent not to sign a new deal with the club.

Gus Poyet's side are monitoring the situation with the midfielder and are weighing up the possibility of a cut-price deal for his services when the transfer window re-opens in January, reports The Mirror.

Schone has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Ajax this season.
