Ryan Noble joins Hartlepool United on loan

Sunderland striker Ryan Noble has joined Hartlepool United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old made his debut for the Black Cats in 2010, but has since seen injury problems disrupt his route to the first team.

He had a loan spell at Derby County earlier in the season, playing two games for the club before returning to Sunderland.

Despite his failure to make an impression in Martin O'Neill's first team, the England Under-19s international has an impressive goalscoring record at reserve level.
