Fabio Borini completes move to AC Milan

Sunderland forward Fabio Borini has completed a move to Italian giants AC Milan.

Soon after the club's relegation to the Championship, Borini was linked with a return to his homeland with Milan and Lazio both said to be interested in his signature.

However, it has now been revealed that the 26-year-old has agreed to move to San Siro on a season-long loan deal, with Milan having the option to turn it into a permanent stay next summer.

In August 2015, Sunderland paid Liverpool a fee of £8m but Borini failed to build on a productive loan spell during the 2013-14 campaign.

Borini makes the switch to Italy having scored just seven goals in 50 Premier League appearances for the North-East outfit.
