Sunderland’s Riveros loaned to Kayserispor

Sunderland have sent midfielder Cristian Riveros to Turkish club Kayserispor on a season’s loan.

Riveros, 28, joined the Black Cats on free transfer from Mexico’s Cruz Azul last season. He failed to make a great impact, scoring once in his 14 appearances.

"Cristian wants to play regular football and hopefully he will be able to do so in Turkey. We wish him all the best," manager Steve Bruce told the club’s official website.

The 28-year-old is one year through a three year contract.
