Sunderland will not be appealing the violent conduct charge that has been handed to defender Phil Bardsley, the club have confirmed.
The Football Association decided to charge the full-back following a clash with Chelsea's Juan Mata during the Black Cats' 2-1 home loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
The Scottish international had until 6pm this evening to decide whether he would contest the charge, but his club have revealed that it has now been accepted.
Bardsley, 26, will now miss Sunderland's next four games against Stoke City, Norwich City, West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal.
