Jozy Altidore: 'Sunderland not panicking'

Sunderland striker Jozy Altidore insists that the squad is remaining calm despite their slow start to the season.

Sunderland striker Jozy Altidore has insisted that the squad is not worried by their slow start to the season.

The Black Cats are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table with one point from their opening four matches.

"You don't get time in the Premier League before people are talking about relegation and stuff," Altidore told the Sunderland Echo. "But everybody is calm still.

"We still have plenty of time, but we understand that we have to start getting points."

Sunderland continue their campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion.
