Peter Crouch wants Stoke City contract extension

Crouch wants Stoke extension

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has stated that he wants to stay at the Britannia Stadium beyond his current deal

The forward could be available on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer, but Crouch has said that he would like to pen an extension at the club.

"My contract is up at the end of the season," Crouch told Sky Sports News. "I want to carry on playing in the Premier League, and hopefully that's with Stoke City.

"There's no reason for me to move. I'm playing and I'm enjoying it more than I ever have done."

Crouch, who has scored 92 times in the Premier League, also admitted that he has the 100-goal milestone in his sights this term.

He added: "Players tell you it's all about the team glory, but I'll make no bones about it, I'm after the 100 goals. It's certainly a milestone I feel I can achieve and hopefully I'll do it this season."
