Victor Moses hails "tremendous" Stoke City comeback

Stoke City winger Victor Moses believes that the team showed "tremendous spirit" to come from behind and beat Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Victor Moses has said that Stoke City showed "tremendous spirit" to come from a goal down to beat Aston Villa in the Premier League yesterday.

Scott Sinclair opened the scoring in Tim Sherwood's first game in charge at Villa Park, but Mame Biram Diouf equalised before Moses scored the winner from the penalty spot late on.

The Nigerian winger told the club's website: "We showed tremendous spirit to come back into the game after going behind. With the ability of players we have in the squad, we always knew we had the capabilities to get something from the game.

"It was a good result for us today, especially as we had to deal with the hype of them having a new manager which will have given them a boost. It was perfect timing for us to bounce back as well, especially after the disappointment of last weekend.

"It's not the first time I have taken a penalty, I take them regularly at international level and I am very happy to have got on the scoresheet. That's nice personally, but the main thing is that we all dug out after a difficult period and gained the three points."

Stoke remain 10th in the table following the win.
