Andre Villas-Boas watches Barcelona B

Andre Villas-Boas is reported to have left his scouting trip of Barcelona impressed by three of the club's youngsters.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas was spotted watching Barcelona B in action at the weekend.

The Portuguese coach is believed to have attended the match, which Barca's youngsters lost 1-0 to Deportivo La Coruna, to watch 18-year-old midfielder Sergi Samper in action.

The Spanish Under-19 international is said to have been a target of Villas-Boas for a number months.

However, he was also left impressed by the performances of midfielder Javier Espinosa and goalkeeper Jordi Masip, according to the Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Villas-Boas could make a bid for at least one of the trio during the January transfer window.
