Tottenham Hotspur to make January bid for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a January swoop for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

The 26-year-old, who scored 27 goals in his team's Super Lig-winning campaign last season, was linked with a switch to the Premier League in the summer.

Crystal Palace and Newcastle United were thought to be interested in the attacking player, but according to reports in Turkey, Spurs intend to get a deal done when the transfer window reopens in four months' time.

It is believed that Besiktas want around £17.5m for Tosun, who is being targeted by Mauricio Pochettino as the Argentine wants to boost his options up front.

The North London outfit brought in Fernando Llorente from Swansea City in the summer, but Vincent Janssen departed to join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.
