Tottenham linked with Real Madrid star

Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be pondering a loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka in the January transfer window.

The North London side are thought to be interested in taking the out-of-favour ex-AC Milan star on loan until the end of the season.

It is understood that Real are eager to sell the 29-year-old in the summer and a loan switch could help their bid to sign Spurs winger Gareth Bale, according to The Express.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is believed to be in the market for a cover for Rafael van der Vaart, with the Brazilian being an ideal option.

Kaka moved to the Bernabeu two years ago for a massive £67m, but has only started six La Liga games this season.
