Tottenham Hotspur confirm arrival of Fernando Llorente

Tottenham Hotspur confirm the arrival of Spanish forward Fernando Llorente from Swansea City on a two-year contract.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the arrival of Spanish forward Fernando Llorente from Swansea City on a two-year contract.

Llorente was pictured in a Tottenham shirt shortly before 9pm on Thursday night after agreeing terms with the London club.

Spurs had been waiting for Swansea to re-sign Wilfried Bony before announcing the Llorente deal, however, and with Bony now returning to Wales, the experienced forward has officially been confirmed as Tottenham's fourth summer signing.

Llorente, who reportedly rejected Chelsea to join Spurs, scored 15 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for Swansea last season.

The 32-year-old's contract with Tottenham will run until the summer of 2019.
