Tottenham Hotspur confirm Giovani Lo Celso loan signing

Tottenham Hotspur confirm the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for a reported £55m.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

Spurs have taken the 23-year-old midfielder on a temporary basis for the 2019-20 season and will then have the option to sign him permanently for a reported £55m, with a further £5m in add-ons.

Lo Celso only joined Betis from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, again initially on loan before the Spanish outfit made the move permanent in April.

The Argentina international impressed for Betis, scoring 16 times in 45 appearances across all competitions.

Lo Celso will wear the number 18 shirt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and could be in contention to feature against Aston Villa on Saturday.
