Spurs 'would accept £176m for Harry Kane'

Tottenham Hotspur have allegedly told Real Madrid that they would accept £176m for the transfer of Harry Kane to the Spanish capital.

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, who is planning an overhaul of his squad alongside club president Florentino Perez, has reportedly identified England striker Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema.

Mundo Deportivo adds, however, that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is keen to avoid another fractious exit from the club after Luka Modric earned his Madrid move by refusing to train and play with the side.

The source says that Gareth Bale, who was previously linked with a return to Tottenham, has instead pledged his future to Madrid and wants to play alongside Kane at the Bernabeu.

Bale joined Madrid from Spurs for £85m in 2013.
