Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly request the services of striker Karim Benzema in a part-exchange deal with Luka Modric heading to Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a deal to sell Luka Modric to Real Madrid, with Karim Benzema heading to White Hart Lane.

The Croatian midfielder is expected to leave the Premier League outfit this summer, with the Spanish giants thought to be the favourites to land the playmaker.

It is understood that Spurs are willing to accept a £35m deal, which would include the French striker leaving the Bernabeu for the North London side, according to The Metro.

Former Premier League champions Manchester United were early contenders for Modric's signature.
